by the way, yoshida's backhand push is not standard. the Chinese penholders would never do that.

Hes a Jap penholder lol thers a difference in technique.

yoshida uses c-pen, not j-pen

yea i agree and there seems to be like a yellow part in the back of his paddle. also he holds it different from normal c-penhold as i see. that yellow part seems to be like where he puts his hands.

At 3:18, he does an unorthodox backhand push by lifting his paddle upwards to add topspin. Chinese penholders are able to add topspin with a much smaller motion by flipping their wrist forward as they push. It's tricky though and that's why penholders are forehand dominate.

well all styles are forehand dominate, like shakehand too. well now with the reverse penhold, penhold is going to be more powerful now since it has less weakness. The chinese national team is probably training someone to replace once wang hao is too old.

i read on the forums most ppl already adapted to wang hao's grip as well as they could. eh idk about penhold more powerful, ma long is so godly yet hes only 21.
