Timo Boll Falling
not in the rankings but literally
i've watched quite a number of timo's matches and he, more than any other player ends up on the floor during a rally, causing the crowd to go wild, especially when he makes the point. these are a few clips of him doing so

in this video at 3:15, timo boll switches to his right hand and scores a point. there was also another video of him switching his hand that i have watched but can't find it.

Re: Timo Boll Falling
haha sure.. blame the shoes.
kind of like how when players miss they look at their rubber/paddle and go like "how could you do that to me??!" when it's probably their fault.
i guess it could have been the shoes.. haha
but i'm leaning more towards the footwork just to be parallel in thought with the prior statement ^^

Re: Timo Boll Falling
I think Timo Boll made a mistake of leaning instead of side stepping when he had the chance to. Either that or the ball was too fast in order to react. Anyway, Timo Boll is a lefty so he is forced to lean on a lot of rallies. Such as if a right handed person does a forehand diagonally across the table, it would naturally land on near a lefty's backhand instead of the forehand. Leaning is one of the best solutions to switch to the forehand without leaving yourself open but in Timo Boll's situation, the ball was too far to lean without falling.
(I feel like I just wrote an essay. hahaha )

Re: Timo Boll Falling

Not very professional to fall. Hustle is welcomed though.
