chinese rubbers r mainly 4 speed coz of their hard sponges...
n their tacky topsheets makes up 4 a lil spin =)

european rubbers r mainly 4 spin coz of their soft sponges...
n their nontacky topsheets makes up 4 a lil speed =)

p.s. a good way 2 use both of these rubbers is 2 put a chinese rubber on the forehand side n an european rubber on the backhand side =)
this is coz ppl generally end pts w/ their forehands n ideally it reqs more speed 4 atk shots...
this is also coz ppl generally setup pts w/ their backhands n ideally it reqs more spin 4 def shots...

I like Chinese rubbers because of their tackiness. I feel its easier to generate spin because it feels like its sticking to the racket. It just might be me though, because I started off with Chinese rubber but its harder to feel that ball and are heavy. European rubbers are good too. They have better control. Now that there are high tension rubbers, their speed has gone up a lot. They should create a hybrid of the two. Something like a DHS hurricane III with a European sponge or a tacky high tension rubber with either type of sponge.
