The Winter Event:Holiday Dance at American Red Cross

Post by Andy Mai on Mon Dec 15, 2008 11:25 pm

The ARC/GNY Youth Group is hosting a Holiday Dance on Saturday, December 27th, 2008, from 5-9PM, at 520 West 49th Street, New York.

It is hosted to raise money for the American Red Cross Campaign for Disaster Relief.

The entertainment at this dance is like no other from before. The BBoys (leader, Danny Wu) from Stuyvesant High School and LaGuardia High School, and Brooklyn Tech’s BBOYS (leader, Paul Tse) are invited as our special guests to put together a spectacular performance and showdown for the audience.

We got a professional DJ to play the most popular CLUB MUSIC, and the dance halls will be beautifully decorated with Christmas lights, balloons, and snowflakes! There will be baked sales and more! Youth from all high schools citywide are invited to come.

Tickets are $10, which already includes a plate and a drink. Tickets at the door will be $12.

(For ARC/GNY members:
During the upcoming General Youth Group Meeting, tickets will be available for purchase. For those who want to sell tickets to their friends or classmates may sign out tickets and earn hours for selling them. Details to be discussed during the meeting!)

This is a casual Holiday Dance. You do not have to dress formally.

Lets hit the place people! Invite your friends too! Attendees ages range from high school students to college freshmen.

You can get the tickets from the Red Cross Clubs in your schools, directly from the red cross chapter in manhattan, OR a friend who's a Red Cross volunteer.

Directions to the location: Take the A,C, E train to 50th ST OR N,W,R to 49th ST.

About the ARC Disaster Relief Fund:
A record number of tornadoes, the worst flooding in the Midwest in 15 years, an early wildfire season and an active hurricane season that is not yet over.

You can change a life by supporting the American Red Cross Campaign for Disaster Relief, and helping the Red Cross raise $100 million for the Disaster Relief Fund. Your generous donations to the Disaster Relief Fund, depleted as a result of an active year of disasters, allow the Red Cross to mobilize volunteers who provide food, shelter and counseling to people who need it, whenever and wherever disasters occur.

The money will go to the American Red Cross to respond to disasters all around the world.
Also our close friends in the breakdance club will be performing there! Go out and support!
